Why do we like this?

Finally, an official song off Lana Del Rey's upcoming album Ultraviolence.

"West Coast" is the first single to released by the incredibly popular artist, and I'm going to go ahead and assert that it's actually pretty good.

The song takes a darker, bluesier approach, beautifully highlighting Elizabeth Grant's signature vocals. Rather than come across as terribly depressive (as many of her recent singles have),"West Coast" emerges as an original tune that introduces elements one might not typically associate with LDR.

For those in the know, this may come as no surprise: Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys is the man producing this album. So...clearly a dash of blues is going to emerge.

Ultraviolence may or may not be released May 18th, 2014.
