There is something to be said about finding a track that you really can't stop playing on repeat, and "She," the latest single from Lake Stovall, well and truly fits into that category.
A too-short R&B bop, "She" marries electronic elements with Stovall's layered falsetto vocals, which climax into 2:23 of crisp beats and a call-and-response vocal play. And just like that, it's all over way too soon.
Originally a dancer, the Virginia-native moved to San Francisco to study sound design and production, working his way from freestyling and dancing in battles to producing for other artists and making music under his own name.
In his own words, he:
"strives to connect with others through music and influence anyone who is inspired by the language of musical artistry."
Collaborations with heavyweights such as Ryan Hemsworth and B. Lewis (who he formed duo project, TESSA.with) is a testament to his star quality, and I'm excited to hear more.
