Why do we like this?

I'm the type of person who gets overly excited about music. Like, way excited, and then I just want to blog about everything!

This here track by Laiko caught my attention right away, for its use of samples and clean, hip-hop driven beats.

"Charlie" is a tracked which samples Charlie Wilson’s 2005 R&B hit “Charlie, Last Name, Wilson.” Inspired by Soulection Radio and J Dilla’s “So Far To Go," it's an undisputed jam that deserves to be put on repeat for at least an hour.

The producer, originally from Boston, MA, is currently based in New York and has been doing sporadic releases on SoundCloud over the past few years. Apparently there will be a debut EP released later this year -- keep up to date with him on Facebook and SoundCloud for more news on that.
