Why do we like this?
In my humble opinion, Gigamesh has some of the most beautiful indie rock remixes out there. I think a lot of this is owed to his liberal use of synth arpeggios and chord progressions, something I'm a total sucker for. At least, that's what did it for me on this song.
His prior works have included remixes of Foster the People, Grouplove and Lykke Li. These were all awesome in their own rights, so its of little surprise to me that this one rings true to my ears.
Ladyhawke's "Sunday Drive" will be released on her upcoming album Anxiety, due for release May 29th via Modular.
