Why do we like this?
Excited for the week to start? If you have the Monday blues, this song may get you energized. Here we have Labyrinth Ear, a boy/girl duo from London, with a track from their EP, Apparitions, due out on February 7.
Labyrinth Ear wastes no time, starting off "Humble Bones" with a fun tempo and industrial synth beat. It's an immediately jump start to a dreamy and hypnotic electro pop song. The female vocals add an innocence to what otherwise has the potential to be a more grungy song. It's a nice delicate balance Labyrinth Ear has going on here. It keeps me intrigued enough to want to hear to rest of their EP. And all of this was self-released too!
Between the different mix of electronic effects like keyboards, synths, drum machines, and yes, even a cowbell, there's a lot going on but it all flows so nicely and tastefully. I hope this track leaves you as eager as I am for their upcoming EP! Keep your eyes peeled.
