Going in on the indie dance which made music blogging so fun in the first place, La Felix & That's Nice's collaboration, "Delicious," is a fun, summery, shimmering pop tune.
With low end piano laying the groove with a tropical tinged guitar on top playing Nile Rodgers influenced licks, "Delicious" exhausts most of its energy playing in the all too familiar nudisco playground which disappears time and time again despite its bubbly, feel good appeal. La Felix and That's Nice accentuate the best parts of the subgenre: silky vocals; upbeat and organic sounding orchestration; and even a slice of slap bass for good measure. It's the kind of music that harkens back to the 2008 - 2011 era of bloghouse - a sound that's in sore need of a stronger revival as counterprogramming to the equally as fun, but grittier tech sound coming from the underground at the moment.
Positive, cheery, and satisfying, "Delicious" is the nudisco tinged pop we truly need.
