California rapper Kyle has returned with the gorgeous "Remember Me?" featuring endless collaborator (and new father) Chance The Rapper. This isn't the first time the pair has teamed up -- Kyle features on "Wanna Be Cool" off The Social Experiment's album Surf, released in May this year.
The introspective "Remember Me?" is low-key and heartfelt -- exactly the kind of track you'd expect a Chance The Rapper feature on. Kyle told his fans that it was one of the hardest tracks he's ever had to write, and you can really hear that resonating throughout.
Complementing his collected, reflective verses is Chance's recognizable crooning, a soulful hook that balances the track out perfectly.
In what looked like a particularly personalized marketing campaign, Kyle shared the track via a Facebook post in which he gave out 'his' phone number, asking fans to text in to receive a download link. Unfortunately some commenters ruined the intimacy of it all by posting up the auto-response received. But you know, it's the thought that counts.
"Remember Me?" features on Kyle's upcoming album Smyle, out on October 2.
