Why do we like this?

Not be confused with Norwegian DJ and producer Kygo, KYKO is the moniker of 18-year-old South London musician Scott Verrill. Almost undoubtedly influenced and inspired by global high-flyers Bastille, The 1975 and Saint Raymond, KYKO's debut single "Animals" references the modern day indie pop charisma that the aforementioned trio have nailed down to a tee.

Supporting the energy and spirit of what sounds like a full band on his own shoulders, KYKO's musical and instrumental depth is impressively streamlined for a solo musician. With Scott's infectious pop vocals at the helm, "Animals" finds the remainder of its contagious charm through the track's buoyant guitars, hazy synths and feel-good, tropical beat.

This track has summer anthem potential written all over it.
