Why do we like this?

When Kwabs’ newest single “Fight for Love” showed up on my feed, I was confused. Hadn’t he already released that song? Not quite: a former release was titled “Pray for Love,” and the difference in title coincides with the difference in tone; while “Pray for Love” is a mournful, earnest ballad, “Fight for Love” kicks up the tempo and calls for action.

Here, Kwabs mixes an anthemic chorus with electronic drums and synths to create a sound right out of 80s pop. Hell, pitch-shift the vocals up an octave and this could be a MJ song.

"Fight For Love" is the second track on Kwabs' upcoming debut album Love + War out on September 11, 2015 via Atlantic Records UK.
