I'm weighing up whether it's a good idea to reveal where I first heard Kutiman, or not.
It's probably a bad idea, especially considering the continued waning traffic of music blogs, but I highly recommend checking out Joakim Sjonvall's Spotifyif you're into the latest from Kutiman.For me to promote digital service providers on the blog is like the Pope vouching for the Devil.
Two important aspects to that analogy that are worth unpacking: 1) The Pope is supposed to be the Human voice of God, no? Or maybe it's just the church, but he should be a man of the people, to an extent, so my suggesting Joakim's playlist is just me being a bro. NB: Sharing is caring. 2) The Devil seems to have a pretty fucking good time, and that's what we're all here for.
Kutiman has a really cool jazz-funk EP out, Lines From Different Sources, so do yourself a favor, ie. sin, and then repent!
