Why do we like this?

I can't say I was familiar with Kuri before checking out his latest single "The Great Orator," but since giving it a whirl I've spent the past few hours listening to his various releases and must say I'm impressed.

A multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter from British Columbia, Kuri's music floats somewhere between indie and folk, with free-spirited cinematic edges.

New single "The Great Orator" is a driving spectacle anchored by a persistent piano line and surging percussion. There's a sense of urgency to this three minute wonder, with the orchestral soundscapes conjured by Kuri pulling you into his world before the tracks unexpected climax.
