I want to start this post by piggybacking off of Dylan's review yesterday. The current state of America is one deeply divided by race and politics. At a time of anxiety and anguish, the activism of my generation and those younger has created a beacon of hope, one that I know will outshine the hatred. Not to sound contrived, but this quote from MLK will always be exemplary, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."
For those in America, do independent research, protest if you can, donate if you can, educate yourself. Here is a link with options for other ways you can help. And as Dylan said, "When we all get back to our computers will we behave differently?" When the protests in the streets end, when we return to post-COVID reality, will we change our actions and work to change our own internalized biases?
