Why do we like this?
I feel like lately I've been writing only about enigmatic artists producing from secret basements never to be named. TWRK, then, follows suit exactly to this grain, as details about the group tell a tale of a secretive duo by way of Oslo and NYC, and not much more.
Taking a pass at Koreless' "MTI," TWRK brings a remix with beautiful vocal chops and, most obviously, a beat to groove to. A mellow, buoyant finish gives TWRK's remix just the right amount of life. The piquant melody takes a page from the Mount Kimbie library, while maintaining a dicey little swagger.
