Why do we like this?
A couple days back, RAC released one of his better remixes this year: Joywave's "Tongues," featuring KOPPS. The song got a whole lot of attention, and so it only makes sense that while the spotlight's on them, KOPPS is revealing a new single called "Strange Boy" -- produced by Joywave's Daniel Armbruster.
If you're already listening, you've probably noticed the upbeat electro-pop tone of the song, a sound that the team established in their original version of "Tongues." Perhaps this marks a trend, as the first collaboration from these groups ("Mourning Sex") actually had a darker and more aggressive tone, where newer material sees them markedly more dancey.
Overall, two thumbs up -- I only hope these folks continue to working together (I have a feeling they will!).
