Why do we like this?
Kodiak Fur just flipped the script on my entire afternoon. I stumbled upon "Hi Luv," the Miami-based quartet's first single, and just had to hear more. An hour later, here I am still soaking up the bass lines and new wave flourishes that make up Kodiak Fur's self-titled debut EP.
Anyone else feeling The xx vibe that Albert Vargas and Zues Lve provide vocally on "All That You Are"? Props to Steve Sanz and Chris Thomas of the Mr. Familiar production team as well for their polished work throughout. From start to finish, Kodiak Fur provides an enjoyable, spacious experience that is just a little outside the realm of what I am used to hearing.
