Why do we like this?
The young beat wizard from the east coast by the name of Knxwledge has been flourishing rapidly since relocating to the city of Angels about a year or so ago. His epic run of releases have raised his profile and with each DIY project, he seems to be getting even more solid footing on his domain.
By now you should know young Knx is good for intimate head-nodders, quaint loops and remixes that can make you re-examine the original. He just released Hexual.Sealings.Vol.2 a follow up to the popular Hexual.Sealings of 2011. This volume tackles classics by Big Poppa, D'angelo and Badu spiced with Philly acapella raps, anti-drug ballads and of course, what would a Knx tape be without a little Drizzy in there?
For our selected song, Knx spins a syrupy re-fix of Mary J. Blige's late 90's "I Can Love You" for your listening pleasure. Listening back to Mary's version from 1997, Knx's take brings back more of the mid-90's feeling than the original cut to this discerning geek, ha!
