Why do we like this?

As an Australian correspondent for Indie Shuffle, I occasionally "bend" the rules a little for special artists. While Kloke (Andy Donnelly) isn't an Australian himself, he's set up shop here recently, and given the quality of his music, I hope he sticks around. A recent graduate of New York's Red Bull Music Academy, the now Melbourne-based producer dropped his new EP a couple of months ago, and we have a taste of it for you today.

"Deep City" is the pick of the EP, and is the very definition of chilled electronica. Everything about this track comes back to the downtempo flow created, and from there, Donnelly has built a dark, brooding musical landscape full of wonderment. While it could definitely take the role of background music, it's too interesting in it's delivery to just be left at that.
