Why do we like this?
There are few bands that can put me in a relaxed mood as quickly as Kings of Convenience. Their album Declaration Of Dependence ranks among one of my favorites, with darn good reason.
The album was released in 2009, eight years after the Norwegian band first broke onto the scene with their album Quiet Is The New Loud. That debut was a particular standout for the remix album that it spawned, Versus (including renditions by heavy hitters Royksopp, Four Tet and even Ladytron).
To boot, their live show is absolutely phenomenal. The two artists play off each other so well that you'd think they'd been playing together since birth.
