Kings of Convenience had one hell of a debut album in Quiet Is The New Loud. Even better was the fact that only six months later, they released Versus, one of the best remix albums I've ever heard (check out the two opening tracks, courtesy of Four Tet and Royksopp).
On Versus were two alternate versions of "Failure," both equally as entertaining as the original. But, as often happens when presented with three alternatives, one must stand above the rest.
I sat here and listened through all three versions morning, back-to-back. Sure, that's a lot of Kings of Convenience, but I think I've picked a winner: the "Single Version" off of Versus.
