There are few electronic artists out there who consistently impress me like Mark Dobson, who crafts beats under the moniker
Ambassadeurs. The Brighton-based producer first had me hooked about a year ago when I came across this
crazy sexy remix. Then there's this odd, entrancing
Feist reconstruction that's also worth a listen.
For those who may be wondering, I do think
King Dinosaur is an awesome artist name. His original version of "The Night" is a big bowl of glitchy 2-step that has dramatic vocals pouring out all over the sides. For his remix, Ambassadeurs warped the vocals and sped up the drums, but never lost sight of the original track's ambient overtones.
"The Night" is King Dinosaur's first single, and this remix also happens to be Ambassadeurs' first appearance on Indie Shuffle. Be sure to show these Brighton boys a little love, since you're probably going to be seeing a lot more of them in the coming months and years.
