Sounds like:
TNGHT,
Flying Lotus,
Lunice
Why do we like this?
I hadn't listened to much Kidkanevil or Daisuke Tanabe before, but that hasn't kept me from enjoying their combined efforts on Kidsuke.
In a nutshell, Kidsuke is a rich blend of bass, hip-hop, and experimental electronica. What sets Kidkanevil and Daisuke Tanabe's collaborative style apart is their ability to wrap each track in a bow of childlike nostalgia and wonderment.
I've decided to feature the extended cut of "Tiny Concrete Blocks." It's available on Brownswood electr*c 3. The original version of "Tiny Concrete Blocks" appears on the Project Mooncircle-backed Kidsuke.
Kidkanevil and Daisuke Tanabe have tapped into something wonderful, in my humble opinion. I hope they work together for years to come.
