LA-based Kidi Band are an unusual mix. Consisting of three percussionists and one guitarist, their music fuses a number of different genres into aural delights that'll bring a smile to your face.
New single "50/50" is a pleasant, acoustic go-getter with delicious harmonies about the uncertainty of life, but hoping things will turn out alright in the end. Something that's very relatable in the current climate.
While they take influence from the likes of Dirty Projectors and tUnE-yArDs, there's a bit of Kimya Dawson about this one, which is never a bad thing. Considering the lack of bass, "50/50" still has a groovy melody and is one of the best songs I've heard this month.
As they gear up for the release of sophomore album,So Good (part one), there's no better time than now to acquaint yourself with Kidi Bindi and their eclectic sounds, with debut record,Gimme Gimme, available to stream on Spotify.
