Why do we like this?
Kid Cudi's output has been somewhat questionable (especially Indicud), but his surprise February release, Satellite Flight: The Journey To The Moon, finds Cudi back to his brilliant best.
As well as dropping new albums without any build up, Cudi has been trying his hand at acting, with a role in the soon to be released Need For Speed, based on the popular video game. Not only is he in the film, but Cudi contributes to the soundtrack, teaming up with Skylar Grey on the haunting "Hero."
Over a brooding and very Drive-like beat, Cudi's ominous vocals complement Grey's lush pipes. The probing synths give "Hero" a dark edge, with Cudi's lyrics about "riding alone" and "speeding away" tying in with the racing theme of the film.
Hopefully this is a sign the film won't be as bad as it looks!
