Why do we like this?
Keyboard Kid is a Seattle-based producer with beat tapes and truckloads of Lil B productions to his name. Well, on May 7, one of the forefathers of 'cloud-rap' steps out from the shadows to brings us The Transition EP, which will help, er, transition him from behind the scenes move maker to household name. It is Keyboard Kid's first official release (via Donky Pitch) and "BasedExorcism" is our first taste of what to expect from the 5-track effort.
"BasedExorcism" is not your grandmother's trillwave. The vocals create this spooky vibe over pumped up synths and what feels almost like techno. Dude is clearly a pro behind the boards. I am very interested to see what else he has in store for us on The Transition. Be sure to support Keyboard Kid and keep an eye out for his EP.
