I don't really have much to say about this song or about Kero Kero Bonito other than the fact that every song they do peaks my interest. I first heard of the surprisingly British pop-band about a year ago from a friend of mine, he too was enamored by their sound and style.
KKB just has that vibe of not giving a fuck and just having fun. Though in "The Open Road," the band talks about their stressful experiences while on tour (like dangerous roads and vans being broken into). As bleak and gloomy the subject matter may be, Kero Kero Bonito maneuvers through it like only Kero Kero Bonito can, with quirky upbeat Japanese pop influenced instrumentals and a just go with it attitude. Its very chill, very dreamy, and very KKB.
