Why do we like this?

Sounding like The Weeknd has become a bit of a cliche these days. Tons of artists are following in the superstar's footsteps, and virtually none of them are able to pull it off as well.

Keiynan Lonsdale seems to be an exception. His new single "Higher" was released a couple weeks back, but the reception -- an impressions 200k plays -- clearly demonstrates that he's got a broader appeal.
