Why do we like this?
Loving this track from San Francisco's own Kastle. A nice example of how the bassmaker can put out tracks somewhere between ambient and house, it's a drum-heavy beat piece accompanied to that typical "haunting" lyrical sample.
Fair to say S.F. future garage has arrived; Kastle's just kicked off his own record label that'll feature the likes of Cosmic Revenge, Maribou State and Jason Burns. With the organization of this niche set of electronic musicians, you can be sure Symbols is a name you'll be hearing a lot more often.
Personally, I'm stoked. Track after track, Kastle has delivered a fresh style that makes me want to listen on repeat. "Only You" is only one example of how Kastle is doing excellent things right now. Start with the music video "Stay Forever" for further proof.
