Why do we like this?
It's been a little while since we've done such a heavy track as Song of the Day, but Kaskade's mashup of Dada Life, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike into his own "Stars Align" caught my attention this morning. The first artist that came to mind upon hearing this track was Deadmau5, but when the vocals dropped, I had to reassess that.
Piecing together the history of this track, it becomes apparent that Kaskade has been throwing around various forms of it for a little while. When Digital LAB and Pedro Henriques pulled together a remix, Kaskade subsequently tested with the crowd at Beyond Wonderland: they dug it. So naturally, it follows that he'd polish it up and put it on Soundcloud, right? Right.
