I'm rather easy to please: I love Rhye, so if an artist has collaborated with Rhye my interest is automatically piqued.
I imagine most of you already know SG Lewisbut forme, "Time" featuring Rhye, and now, "Crossing Paths" with Kartell, marks the start of my Lewis listening journey. A journey of a thousand songs begins with a single colab — that's the saying, right? Well, whatever it is, this trip down SG Lewis-Lane has lead me to Kartell's EP, Daybreak. On it, we find the likes of Tim Atlas, Che Lingo, Qendresa, and Coops.
It seems that for both of these artists, 'collaboration' is the name of the game as SG Lewis' latest EP, times, is also marked with features from several big-name artists (cough, cough: Rhye.) Both SG Lewis and Kartell's EPs dropped on February 19th, twinnies?
Join me in giving Daybreak a full listen. If my invitation is not enticing enough, read what Kartell had to say about it:
"Timeless and soulful, the project is about the story of our relationship with memories and how we travel through them."
