Why do we like this?
Big band funk music tackling covers of great songs brings to mind El Michels Affair's Enter The 37th Chamber,and, also, notably, The Budos Band's "PIMP."
As Karate Boogaloo's "Edge of Seventeen" rounds the corner into the chorus, hairs on my spine lift as I recall Joan Cusack's rendition of the original in School of Rock. If people were classified by their spirit animals instead of astrological signs, Joan would be a duck. It's not a spirit animal I'm generally attracted to, but alas.
