Where do I begin? Let me first just say that, Yeezy, I've been underwhelmed. "When I See It" bummed me out, "FACTS" lacked any real depth and "All Day," while rich with spirit, fell just short. However, "Real Friends" and "No More Parties in L.A." is a completely different story.
"Real Friends" is Ye's no new friends war cry. Kanye laments about not being around enough, calling his daughter on FaceTime and familial betrayals. It's a vulnerable and unguarded Kanye that we haven't seen in a while, making it his most compelling drop yet.
"No More Parties in L.A." is just a snippet, but early indications suggest a fire verse from Kendrick Lamar.
According to Ye's wife, we'll be getting new music from Kanye every Friday until SWISH finally drops. Thanks Ye and welcome back.
