Although Kailee Morgue is only 21, the singer-songwriter has definitely proved herself as a rising pop musician with this song and the rest of the tracks on her second EP,Here In Your Bedroom.
There’s an addictive quality in this song that makes it hard for me to turn off. Something special about her voice that I find soothing and upbeat at the same time. Her style reminds me of Chvrches, Halsey, or a similar artist. Plus the pretty background vocals, which are heard clearly in the opening and outro, sound like an angelic sigh.
On this track, Morgue reminisces about the romance in the beginning of a relationship and how she’s feeling the spark between her and that person change. (I even got a little nostalgic myself while hearing her talk about old memories and heartbreak.) It's a song on the soundtrack from a teenage rom-com, in all the best ways.
