DC representttt! Today's song of the day ain't a new one, but it gets me riled up none-the-less. It was this track, featuring the Fantastic Justice track "D.A.N.C.E." that catapulted Wale into my field of vision. To boot, I was living in DC at the time I first heard it, so the fact that he was one of the stand-out local hip-hop artists piqued my interest further.
Original music aside, the songs I enjoy most are the hip-hop remix songs created with his rhymes. For example, Bird Peterson's remix of "Freaks" still ranks up there as one of my favorites on our site.
Wale's latest album, Ambition, is set to be released around November 1 of this year. There have been a number of confirmed tracks, including guest appearances by J. Cole, B.o.B. and Big Sean. Pretty sure it'll be tearing up the blogosphere as details and singles unravel.
