Why do we like this?

I was a big fan of Júníus Meyvant's 2016 release Floating Harmonies so am stoked to see the Icelandic signer and songwriter is back with a new tune.

"Mr. Minister Great" is a classic, laid-back 70s soul number that drifts slightly from the folk centric sounds of his debut. Echoing the great soul artists of the bygone era, Meyvant's soothing vocals float over the lightly strummed guitar and strings.

A bonus cut from Floating Harmonies, "Mr. Minister Great" is a good way to familiarise yourself with Meyvant, as he's someone you'll be hearing from as the year goes on.
