Why do we like this?
I don't mean to give undue credit to Jose Gonzalez in the title, but his is the name you'll probably recognize. He's been playing as part of the Swedish trio Junip for some time now with beautiful results.
"Line of Fire" is the first single released off their upcoming self-titled album Junip, out this Spring on City Slang in Europe and Mute Records in North America. It picks up where the band left off on their 2010 album Fields, layering Jose's signature vocals over slowly progressing melody.
Overall, it's an encouraging result, though I won't complain if subsequent singles find themselves a little more intricate / exploratory.
