Do you ever stumble upon a song that feels like a prayer? Yep, just like that, we trip over it, land on our knees, and everything feels like devotion without ever intending for it. Have you experienced that?
If yes, you will relate, and if no, I can relate, because before Jungle's "Talk About It," I can't say that has ever happened to me.
In some schools of philosophy, there's a lot of discourse around the inner and external worlds and whether they are as separate as we generally take them to be. When I pause for a minute to listen along to the lyrics of "Talk About It," I'm no longer wholly convinced of that separation.
With lyrics that perhaps can speak to anyone on any level, the upbeat and high-quality sound will allow us to be touched without being dragged down. Gorgeous vocals and great percussion equate to the balloon and its little knot around our wrist, allowing us to float through space...through the highs and lows.
