Why do we like this?

I thought I was sick of everything. Why this jungle track by #jungle has caught my ear, I do not know— never known the genre to be particularly pleasant, but the combination of elements in "Just a Girl" make it almost prophetically relevant.

Not sure what the sample is (for shame, I know), but I'm loving the easy-going Motown pop mixed with a fervent jungle dub. It's like a humming bird of audio — stationary torso while the heart and the wings beat rapidly. At least that's just what I'm seeing.

Can't tell you how old this track is, but who cares. I was just talking to a friend about how trite pop music is these days. Something's got to change. I think the notion has me opening to finding hidden gems. Just listen to the potential in "Just a Girl," do you hear it? They future of pop? Eh, maybe I'm crazy.
