I don't think it's possible for Julia Jacklin to release a bad song. "Pressure To Party," the latest single released from her forthcoming album Crushing, is another tick in the win column for the Aussie sensation.
Following on from last year's country slow burner "Body," and indie ballad "Head Alone," third single "Pressure To Party" is a whip cracking indie rocker that will have you up and about. Jacklin's unique delivery draws you in over a sparkling guitar lick and driving percussion. In short, it's an absolute ripper. Speaking on the post break-up track, Jacklin had this to say;
When you come out of a relationship, there’s so much pressure to act a certain way. First it’s like, ‘Oh, you’ve gotta take some time for yourself’…but then if you take too much time it’s, ‘You’ve gotta get back out there!’ That song is just my three-minute scream, saying I’m going to do what I need to do, when I need to do it.
All three singles from the album showcase a different side of Jacklin, with Crushing set to be one of the must hear albums of 2019.
Crushing is set for release February 22nd.
