JOY is the latest in a long stream of incredibly talented female producers to surface from Australia. Her realname is Olivia McCarthy, and this Brisbane teenager has been wowing audiences across her home city for years with her beautiful, airy voice. But contrary to her mature, developed sound, she has only branched out into beatmaking in the last few months.

Her first offering, "Captured," is a perfect taste of what's to come for JOY, melding her breathtaking vocals with lush, spacious synthsand skittery drum patterns reminiscent of Ryan Hemsworth.

With more new music on the way before the end of the year and some exciting collaborations on the cards, you'll certainly be hearing much more of JOY in the future.
