Why do we like this?
"Whisper To A Hurricane" is my first contact with UK singer Joseph J. Jones, but it certainly won't be my last.
The Essex born 23-year-old has a voice that can't be ignored. There's deep emotion to his soaring baritone, with his talent on full display with latest single, "Whisper To A Hurricane."
Taken from his just released, Hurricane EP, Jones pours out his heart over a poignant piano line and thudding electronic beat. "Whisper To A Hurricane" is like a modern soul track that's steeped in feelings of nostalgia.
If you asked me to describe Jones, I'd say he's like a cross between Chet Faker (or should that be Nick Murphy?) and the Editors Tom Smith, and I urge you all to give his EP a listen.
