He's an Australian based out of London. He's also a big-time electro pop singer and all-around cool guy. With an EP coming out soon, Josef Salvat released a new track earlier this month called "Shoot and Run." The UK-based duo Bodhi got wind of it, and released a remixed version of the original.
The vocals are played down in this remix in favor of beefing up the tempo and the bass line for that unmistakable dancey feel. The string instruments that feature in the middle sections are what's really cool about this remix. It's like having violins on the dance floor. Or something to that effect. An odd image, but it's relatively rare to hear string instruments in an electronic remix. Such is the strength and talent we’d expect from a quality act like Bodhi.
Josef Salvat has a new EP coming called In Your Prime. Look for it on September 22.
