If last year's The Grey Area mixtape was anything to go by, then we can expect big things from singer-songwriter Jordan Bratton. The New Yorker not only has an incredible voice, but he also writes and produces most of his music, making him an all-rounder in every sense of the word. Did I mention he's only 18 years old?
"When I Get There" is the latest effort from Bratton, showcasing another layer to his already thick musical coat. There's a tinge of Frank Ocean to Bratton's R&B vocals, but the uptempo piano riff and head-nodding percussion is more in line with John Legend at his pop-tastic best.
Comparisons aside, Bratton demonstrates a knack for writing top notch tunes that aren't genre defining, and if he continues putting out tracks like "When I Get There," it won't be long before Jordan Bratton is a household name.
