“Your Man” is the last song off Joji’s new, 18-track album,Nectar, which fans have patiently been waiting for. After hearing this song, and looking back on his career, I can’t help but feel proud of how far Joji has come in his success and stardom.
It’s cool how in some parts of the song, he stops very abruptly, and other verses seem to go on eternally. The sharpness contrasts nicely with the echoing.
Don’t get me wrong, I love when Joji plays with other influences and genres, but in my eyes, he’s a pop god. I like how the best picks up slowly instead of dropping suddenly. Sometimes you want to ease into the tune. But with that said, “Your Man” has serious potential for some dope upbeat remixes.
The main element of the song that makes it so addicting is the killer mixing. Putting all the vocals and recorded tracks together is a skill, but on this song, it’s more of an art.
