Johnny Rain ...Fuck

I've been in the mood to listen to some sultry R&B tracks more and more lately, so when I saw that Johnny Rain just dropped a 6-track EP that perfectly fits into this category, it pretty much made my day.

The EP, simply entitled EP1, was produced and written by Johnny, and this particular track sports additional production from one of my favorite UK producers at the moment, 20-year-old XO.

I don't know what it is that particularly drew me to write about "...Fuck" over the others -- maybe its brazen title, the way the vocals alternate between a chest and falsetto, the heavily layered grimy synths, or the stanky beats?

Either way, the generally dirty pulse of the track is excellent, and you should definitely check out the rest of the EP here.
