Following the success of recent single "Let's Talk About Me," Brighton/London/York based garage-surf trio, Johnny Kills, return with the lazy fuzz of "My Shirt Guy Is High."
Slowing the pace down, "My Shirt Guy Is High" is a slacker-rock anthem for the modern generation, chock full of hazy guitar licks and pleading vocals. Vocalist Tim explains the songs meaning below;
"It’s about self-inflicted boredom and the guiltiness it brings - feeling guilty about doing nothing and thinking that you should do something, anything, but having almost no motivation to do it. You begin taking pride in even the smallest achievements to essentially justify your day."
The hype behind this release has led to the band scoring their first London show at The Old Blue Last, on September 15th, with more sure to follow.
