Why do we like this?
EMW Music Group are all about the DIY. From writing and producing to seeking out talent to create pop gems, they're constantly finding new ways to align with influential music charities. These guys take matters into their own hands from start to finish.
Ben Lindell and Doug Larsen are the skilled producers behind EMW. In the first single off their debut album Shuffle, they team up with Brooklyn-bred singer Johnny Burgos on a track titled "15 Seconds of Fame." The song is an infectious pop ballad that showcases EMW's production prowess, and Johnny's amazing vocal skills. We've been graced with some superb visuals for the song as well (below).
Ben and Doug, who studied Commercial Music Composition and Music Production at the University of Miami, aim to leave a legacy not only producing great music and developing talented artists, but also innovating a new economy of music through creative commercial partnerships and non-profit efforts. They hope Shuffle, which can be downloaded here (all proceeds are going towards VH1's Save The Music Foundation), will serve as a catalyst to usher in a new era of music business where commercial success and charitable work aren't mutually exclusive. Hopefully this type of nobility rubs off on the industry because it's truly great stuff.
