Why do we like this?

John Coltrane was the man. He pioneered many free-form jazz techniques that are still emulated by composers to this day.

Philippe Edison is a 26-year-old Texan who plays a mean saxophone and produces head nod-worthy beats. His "Wise One" rework is only possible because badasses like Trane paved the road. Let's hope Philippe continues to journey down it toward new, exotic destinations.
