Described by NYLON as "the lovechild of Nico and Joanna Newsom," British singer-songwriter Marika Hackman does the latter flattering justice in this enchanting cover of "81."
With a debut mini-album already under her belt, the enigmatic beauty continues to channel her delicate brand of brooding folk in the release of her new EP, Sugar Blind, produced by Alt-J's Charlie Andrew and due out December 9. "81" is the EP's closing track, an intimate interpretation that seamlessly showcases Hackman's sublime vocals in a piece of musicianship that could soundtrack a fairytale.
