Why do we like this?

Absolutely beautiful! Jim-E Stack, whoever you are, I am your newest fan-girl. Actually, I read your bio so I "Internet" know you. I've had the pleasure of listening through the whole Tell Me I Belong LP, and I am more than content. The LP is calm and appeasing to every hair inside of my ear drum -- was that unnecessarily deep?

Up until this LP, Jim-E has been mingling with the Wedidit fam, headed by internet beats sensation Shlohmo. Jim-E draws influence from hip-hop and has had a brief career in high school jazz drumming, although I think his latest work will be more of a success.

Tell Me I Belong is highly versatile and delves into chill house alongside one or two more Dilla-influenced tunes. Give "Reassuring" a listen and then go buy the rest of the LP, which is out digitally today, June 3, also known as Jim-E Stack's Day.
