R&B singer Jhene Aiko is riding the wave of her recent collaborations with Drake ("From Time") and J. Cole ("Sparks Will Fly"), releasing the soothing soul-pop ditty "Bed Peace." The title and single cover are a homage to John Lennon and Yoko Ono's anti-war protests, with the song all about spending the day in bed with that someone special.
Aiko's innocent voice fits well with the easygoing vibe of the 90s like percussion that infiltrates "Bed Peace." Childish Gambino even shows up for another fine verse, proving Donald Glover's choice to concentrate on music might not be a bad thing.
Aiko's full length debut is set for release later this year and features appearances from Kendrick Lamar and Ab-Soul.
